Where: Laurie Garrett’s home 111 Hicks St., #25E Brooklyn Heights
Bring: No empty-handed guests allowed --- this is a celebration, damnit! So bring one (or more) of the following: cold Champagne, Single Malt Scotch, dessert, and/or non-alcoholic liquids.
Directions, by subway: A/C train to High St Station. Go out Fulton side, walk thru the Cranberry Walkway to Henry St. Cross the street, walk one more block to Hicks St. Turn left and go to 111 Hicks.
2/3 train to Clark St. Exit out the Clark St. side and turn right. Go to the corner, Hicks St., and turn right. It’s the first door.
Directions, by car: From BQE, take the Cadman exit. Go under the Brooklyn Bridge and turn left on Fulton St. Go up the short hill to Henry St.; turn right. Go 5 blocks to Clark St.; turn right. Go one block to Hicks and there it is. Now good luck finding parking.
From Brooklyn Bridge, take the first off-ramp. The off-ramp forks: bear to the left fork. The first street is Cadman: cross it, and go to the next street, Henry. Turn left on Henry. Go four blocks to Clark. Turn right. Go one block to Hicks, and there it is. See above note about parking.
