Nelly's Annual P.I.M.P. Scholarship Contest
The scholarship will be extended to students
from all disciplines with no grade restrictions
to compete to produce the most unique Pimp Juice
or PJ Tight video commercial that best captures
the essence of the energized, successful hip hop
lifestyle promoted by Nelly's energy drinks. In
addition, the contest committee will also
consider the student's grade point average,
extracurricular activities, and any other
relevant factors.

The William Randolph Hearst Endowed
Fellowship For Minority Students
The fellowship, which is based on academic
excellence and need, is open to both
undergraduate and graduate students who are
members of minority groups and are US citizens.
The Hearst Fellow serves as an intern with the
Fund. Through this program, the Fund seeks to
introduce a diverse group of students to issues
relating to philanthropy, voluntarism, and
nonprofit organizations.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement
Scholarship
Unmet financial need scholarships are awarded to
students who, in addition to good academic
standing, need financial assistance in order to
complete a particular program of study. To be
eligible for a merit scholarship, the applicant
must have completed a minimum of one year in a
degree granting institution; be continuing a
program of education in such an institution;
demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, as
evidenced by a GPA of 3.0 or higher; and by
participating in a community or campus
activities.

The Ron Brown Scholar Program
A national program benefitting
academically-talented, highly motivated
African-American high school seniors who have
demonstrated financial need, social commitment,
and leadership potential. The program awards its
scholars $40,000 towards their college costs. It
offers personal attention to each Scholar
throughout the academic year. It requires and
coordinates career and community-oriented
internships.

Jazz Up Your Campus Competition
Submit a concept (300-500) words on how to bring
jazz to your campus and expand the interest in
this great American art form utilizing today's
hottest technology. Winners will get the
opportunity to present their ideas to the Jazz
Alliance International panel of judges and a
chance to win the grand prize of a one-year paid
internship at Jazz Alliance International to set
their concept in motion. The Grand Prize Winner
will be chosen from a HBCU. No Runner Up Prizes
will be awarded.
